Thank you Loki, for listening. There's so much going on right now, most of it an emotional morass from which I can't quite escape; I'm beginning to realize there might not even be a way out. But you are with me. I do not fear the flames... curse the pain, but you know better than anyone how badly the slag needs to be purged. My true wishes, and my preferred methods of catharsis, reveal the darkness left in the wake of years of fear, pain and rage... you, and perhaps you alone, know the depths of that darkness and still meet my eyes. Help me to keep loving, keep trusting... and to remember it is not "what they left behind" that counts, it's what they did not (and can never) take away.
