In that hall of golden beards, sits a Skald, by brave men Bragi he is called
Gunlod born, by Jötnar scorned, raised thee a golden horn
With runic tounge, to Val-Slain he sung, of all our glory won
Dagr now comes, by Nott newly shunned, over the fields of bodies strung
