For Baldur and Nanna

Brave Warrior,
Shining Lord of Justice and Mercy,
We ask for Your blessings and grace.
Compassion flows from
Your strong heart and noble brow.
Fearless Lord of Death and rebirth,
Intrepid, You have braved
The cold realm of Hel,
So that we, children of the Gods,
Might have a champion
To greet us when we too
Make this perilous journey.
Warrior-born, fill our hearts
With Thy quiet courage.
Do not let us falter
On our life’s journey.
Teach us serenity of spirit,
That we might face the turmoil
Of our lives joyously,
Embracing destiny without fear.
Open our hearts
And let us not shrink in terror
From our descent into the earth,
But find in Her dark depths
Spiritual renewal.
May we live lives of courage,
Passion, and valor.
Hail, Baldur!
Gentle Nanna, Baldur’s devoted wife,
Extend over us
Your blessings and protection,
For we often struggle in our lives
Feeling lost and alone.
Stand with us as You stood with Baldur,
Even joining Him in Hel’s realm.
Sustain us, nourish us,
And grant us the gift of Your compassion.
Hail Nanna, Daring and Bold,
Compassionate One, Hail.
