Who fell by the kiss of mistletoe,
Of his beloved Nanna who followed him down,
And of his brother Hoder, slayer and victim
Who still has something to teach us.
If you are cast into darkness
And do not know the way out,
This is the first glimmering of the path upward.
Hail to the Gods who descend
And do not yet arise, but keep hope alive in the dark,
