Evening falls where I am, and I return to your shrine and look over the day.
Let us rejoice in all your faithful warriors who have honored you by this Holy Shrine with their word-candles during the past week. Hail to them all! It has been a week of power and glory in you, Tyr.
And especially, let us be happy, because of those who have made the effort to honor you on this holy day today. Give them all a taste of your joy every Tuesday, I invite you, in honor of the day. This day is venerable because it has preserved your name from the time of our honored ancestors through the long, long, dark centuries of lies and oppression down to our own days of the Sacred Rising Up Again in which we now participate as your holy warriors of Right Action. Hail to those who have honored you here today!
Let us smile for those valiant and upright ancestors, even for those who weren't direct ancestors, for they spiritual ancestors. They preserved as much as they could of the indigenous faith and values, often at great personal cost,against the imposition of the foreign religion from the east, for you, and for us, their living seed. Hail to all the ancestors who remained faithful to you... even unto the loss of their businesses and livelihoods and landholdings...
to those who suffered imprisonment under wretched conditions for defending their freedom of religious choice...
to those who suffered torture and execution by the tyrant Olaf Tryggvason for refusing to take the Oath of Baptism...
to those who fell in combat or civilian slaughter for defending the Way of the Irminsul against the sword of Charles the so-called "Great", Charlemange..
to those who died at the firey stake of the "Reformation".
