Lit Tue August 31, 2021 Hail Tyr!

Tyr, god of ancient days, born and reborn many times – as father of gods, or as son of different fathers. Thus your essence and name is the embodiment of the male divine and is found in many others. You are the only one who has a rune of his own. In Old Norse your name also means ambiguously "beast". Hence you are the mirror of the wolf you raised. You are the positive passion that makes things happen and that makes goals attainable – also through sacrifice and facing one’s shadows. Sword God, bold and courageous, you taught me that warrior spirit is sometimes indispensable. The smart and righteous are wise like you, follow your advice and are victorious. Hail Tyr!

Many thanks to all who post here regularly - thank you for your beautiful words. May you receive Tyr's strength and wisdom whenever you are in need of it as well as the blessings of the old spirits and gods.
Lit Tue August 31, 2021 Hail Tyr!

Heartfelt greetings to the Schildmaid and Kriegerin Elaine from Alabama.
I´ve read very attentive your fascinating personal experiences with The Gods and Lord Tyr.
It makes me very happy that you are so highly distinguished and preferred by Him - you are really a chosen one.
Because of your stirring words I'm delighted beyond measure,
they are a sign that Our Mighty Great Gods, the Old Gods are still among us and have not forsaken neither us, their children, nor the Midgard world.
Even though they were treated badly : denied, betrayed, accused - They are present, still alive.
I thank you and all the faithful, loyal souls around the world for your untiring worship, praises and offerings.
The Great Gods shall bless you all, may They shower you all with their Sacred Grace.
Hail the Great Gods, Mighty and Raised above all!
Dear Elaine, friend, Shield Sister: I also prefer the mighty force of nature of the Jötnar and Thursen, sometimes vast like the power of a black hole.
I do not reject them like others , I adore them for their power, strength and strong will and I don't differentiate between sacred and diabolical, between good and evil. I have discarded this relic from my Christian time long times ago.

The "Jotunbok" is my "Bible", my favourite book above all.
I yield Raven Kaldera cordial thanks for this unique and marvellous book, which fascinates and guides me so excellent.
The Great Gods and the AllEmbracing Dark Mother, my Beloved and Most Honoured Queen of the Deadlands, Lady Hel may be always with you and bless your untiring endeavour for the Old Ways.

Lit Fri August 20, 2021 Thank you Tyr, for...

Thank you Tyr, for your presence and for the many gifts of the last few days. Thank you for all our comrades who light for you here. I would like to share a few words with one of your beloved warriors at this shrine.

Im Namen von Tyr grüße ich dich, lieber Kameradin von Bayern.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, Dagmar-Frederike. I love languages and word craft and writing, and I love SigTyr, so I am glad my written words about him have been meaningful for you. "Faith", for the most part, was always easy for me. That doesn't mean it won't ever be challenged; it just hasn't been. Anyway, personal experience is really hard to challenge. Beliefs, doctrines, philosophies, etc, they are paper tigers if they have no foundation in experience. Real, real, easy to blow them over.
Maybe you sensed that most of my communication about my faith comes out of my own experience.

Some of the gods I have been aware of since very early childhood--my father was in love with an Odinnist. I have lived a life of magical realism, not just as a child, but as an adult as well. I was always aware of different gods and powers, often aware of the presence of some of the dead, especially the militant dead, and I always loved the great forces of nature--long before I ever heard the words jotun and thurse.
I first knew Tyr in the winter of my junior year of high school. I didn't even know he had a name and a personality back then. I called him "the spirit of combat", and I knew him as a force, a power, who favored me. For some strange reason Throughout a lifetime of exploration and travel and adventure, he was with me. And I always understood, from that very first winter night when I first encountered his power, that he was calling me to live like a warrior. THAT was the hard part for me, my friend: overcoming my laziness and my self-doubts and my "scattered-ness" and learning the meaning of perseverance and self-discipline and persistence. So, learning what it means to come to your life like a warrior in our own day and age has been my lifetime struggle.
I know some of the gods of Mexico -- I went on a quest with the Quetzalcoatl, and I met Tezcatlipoca--I respect him--and I love Our Lady of Guadalupe (she is actually Yaocihuatzin, Our Dear Lady of War, only she is in the disguise she has had to assume since the christian conquest of Mexico - much like the Irish goddess of Fire became "Saint Bridget". Saint my arse!). I know Jesus. and, I know the god of the "Imperial Cross". Also, I know, and love, the Morrigan, the Celtic triple goddess of war, who holds her people to the same high standards of honor and courage and integrity that Tyr calls us to! And I also have had a pleasant encounter with Lady Hel.
My experience has been that the Germanic/Nordic Gods and Lady Morrigan are much, much more here-and-now powerful than the others -- but that may simply be because I am their kin.
It was not until rather late in life that I had the honor of meeting Tyr--as himself, Tyr, by name, by personality. That happened a few years back during the 8 days following Walpurgisnacht, and he came to my room and introduced himself, and stayed for a period of maybe four days. Even immediately after it was over, I could remember very little of it, even though I was awake. It was kind of like a dream experience. But he left me a sign as evidence that he had been there.
What can I say? I remain - unto this day - as completely head-over-heels in love with him as when I first saw him as Tyr.
Elaine from Alabama, USA

Dear Leavings of the Wolf,
Thank you for the storm this evening-- may there be many more to come

I invite you
to carve the runes of your values into my innermost core
and show me how to live them out, day by day;
I invite you to reveal to me the fullness of who you are, in your glory, in your ice, in your fire and in the darkness;
I invite you to consider including me in your counsel and in your council,
and to give me the grace to accept your discipline with as much enthusiasm as I receive your favor.
For this, I will spar against the greatest warriors of all time
for the right to stand beside you at Ragnarok.

For this, I will
