Hel, please help me get to know you. I wish to follow you on my path because I feel drawn to you, great Goddess of Life and Death! I wish to have a better understanding of death and other endings I may encounter in life, and to learn to see death as a natural transition into a new beginning rather than as an ultimate end. Please show me how to have true compassion towards other people from all walks of life.
Hel, I ask you to please send me some kind of sign or message if you are willing to accept me as your follower.
For this I will remain open to you, and I shall dedicate an area of my altar to you. I will craft a candle to place on said altar and make an offering of dried herbs and flowers as well. I will also take some time to go to my local graveyard to visit my departed relatives and to clean up any trash I may find.
