Niorun Visits

 by Bethany Hodgkinson

Niorun3She alights
As a feather may on water
Imperceptible to the many
Who lose themselves in Her silkiest illusions
Driven mad by what they cannot touch
Mystified by tilted physics.

But
Some with mindfulness will see
The ripples on the surface of their minds,
And cast about for the source of the motion
To find a Goddess skimming the surface
Enjoying sensation, and there without purpose
A fleeting visit, a glimpse, then gone,
And scarcely remembered upon the morn.
